Marianne Ackerman lives in Mile End, Montreal. Her published works include four volumes of plays, three novels and two collections of short stories. A long-time journalist, she is an award-winning theatre critic and free-lances for many magazines, journals and newspapers. She was co-founder and artistic director of THEATRE 1774, as well as founding editor of The Rover, an online arts magazine. Her most recent publication is an anthology co-edited with Linda L. Morra, Chronicling the Days: Dispatches from a Pandemic, published by Guernica Editions in 2021.
